Registration opens on Monday for the participation of restaurateurs in the XIV Jornadas de Pinchos del Botillo (XIV Botillo Pinchos Days)
Everything is ready for the Jornadas de Pinchos del Botillo, which this year celebrates its fourteenth edition. The first step has been taken by the Sectorial Council of Commerce with the approval of the rules that provide for registration from 27 to 30 January.
The document, which has been agreed with the hotel and catering sector, presents important novelties with respect to previous years.
The first refers to the price of the pincho. Caterers will be free to offer their respective creations with a price ranging between 1 and 3 euros. Customers will know in advance the pincho and the price of each of the participating establishments.
Another important novelty is that the XIV Jornadas de Pinchos will be held exclusively in the evening, from 19 to 22:30 hours. The usual dates are maintained, which will be the previous weekend and the weekend coinciding with the National Festival of Exaltation of Botillo. That is to say, on February 14, 15 and 16; and 21, 22 and 23.
Finally, this year there will be a raffle for customers who make the complete tour of the participating establishments. The public will have at their disposal ballots that will be stamped in each of these establishments and that they will be able to introduce in the ballot box with their identification data. Valid ballots (those that prove that all the pinchos have been tasted, stamped by the participants) will be entered into a draw for various gifts.
The jury, which will be appointed by the Sectorial Council of Commerce, will be related to and specialized in gastronomy, as expressly stated in the rules.
The registration of catering establishments will begin on January 27 and will remain until 30 of this month. It can be done on the third floor of the Town Hall of Bembibre, from 9 to 14 hours (responsible person: Angela).

Enrollment incentive
On the other hand, as an incentive for registration, the Department of Commerce will make a contribution of 100 euros to each participant as long as they have complied with all the rules at the end of the contest.
The establishments will receive three main prizes, the first being a plaque and a weekend for two people; the second a plaque and dinner for two people sponsored by Restaurante La Piedra; and a third prize consisting of a plaque and a ham. The fourth, fifth and sixth winners will receive recognition with a commemorative plaque.
