Festival of Regional Tourist Interest

It was the second most important institutional recognition for the Botillo Festival. From this moment on, it was considered a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest.

It is an honorary name granted to celebrations or events that are held in Spain, and that offer real interest from a touristic point of view.

Until 1979 there was only this recognition. However, after the state reform introduced that same year, the honorary names were divided into three: Festivals of International Tourist Interest, Festivals of National Tourist Interest, and Festivals of Regional Tourist Interest.
