Details about the gala for the 53rd International Botillo Festival
The Botillo Gala
The Bembibre Botillo Festival has two key events: the gala, which includes a speech by the master of ceremonies, José Ribagorda, and a musical performance by Ruth Lorenzo; and the dinner celebrating the botillo.
The Botillo Gala will take place on February 7, 2026. It will begin at 8:00 p.m. following the reception for guests at the Manuel Marqués Patarita Pavilion. This year’s event will be hosted by radio personality Héctor Keudell and TV host María de Miguel, marking the third Botillo Festival they have hosted together.
The gala will follow the same format as in recent years, combining audiovisual production, live stage production, special segments, and musical performances.
As usual, the Botillo Festival will serve as the occasion to formalize a new sister-city relationship, which, on this occasion, will be with Casa de León in Cantabria.
At the event, Belén Martín Díaz, Councilwoman for Culture, Festivals, Tourism, and Commerce, will take the stage to greet the audience and read the results of the literary contest. On the institutional side, the mayor of Bembibre, Silvia Cao Fornís, will address the audience and introduce the keynote speaker. Following her speech, a musical performance lasting about 30 minutes will bring the gala to a close, giving way to the botillo tasting dinner.
The day will end with a big party at the pavilion, featuring performances by the Waykas and Última Legión orchestras.
Logistics
Logistics are crucial to achieving the best possible outcome in organizing the International Botillo Festival. For this reason, it is essential to rely on a number of companies that provide the services the Bembibre City Council cannot manage directly.
This year, Alhoja Floristas was commissioned to handle the floral arrangements, and Carpalia is in charge of the decorations and tents.
Hanason Bierzo will be providing the catering. Guests will enjoy botillo made by Embutidos Santa Cruz. Hinojosa’s caramelized peanuts will also be on the menu.
